1. Who this covers
This policy applies to dze.armatools.com ("DZE Tools", "the site"), a free collection of browser-based utilities and guides for ArmA 2 DayZ Epoch server owners. The site is operated by ZzBombardierzZ as part of armatools.com.
2. What we collect
We don't collect personal information about how you use the site. There are no accounts, no logins, no sign-up forms, no comments, and no behavioural tracking. We never require your name or email to use any tool. The single exception is the optional contact form: if you choose to use it, it sends us the message you type (and, only if you choose to provide one, an email address) — see section 7.
3. Your files never leave your device
Every tool — the trader editor, loot editor, SQF/HPP cleaner, BattlEye generators, mission manager, and the rest — runs fully inside your web browser using local JavaScript. Files you open are processed in memory on your machine and the results are saved straight back to your device. Nothing you load or generate is transmitted to us or stored on any server.
4. Cookies and local storage
We don't use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The site uses your browser's
localStorage only for small convenience settings on your own device, such as:
- your light/dark theme preference (
dze-theme); - tool-specific preferences and any work-in-progress some tools let you keep between visits.
This data stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
5. Analytics and tracking
We do not run any analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, or third-party tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no ad network, and no behavioural tracking of any kind.
6. Hosting
The site is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with essentially every website, the hosting provider may automatically process standard technical request data — such as your IP address and basic request metadata — for the purposes of delivering the site and protecting it against abuse and attacks. This is handled by Cloudflare under their own privacy policy; we do not use it for analytics, profiling, or marketing, and we do not receive a personally identifiable record of who visited.
7. Contact form
The contact form is the one place on the site where you can send information to us. It is entirely optional. When you submit it:
- What we receive: the category you pick (e.g. bug report or suggestion), the message you write, and — only if you choose to enter one — your email address. You can leave the email blank and submit completely anonymously.
- Your email is opt-in for replies only. We attach your email to the message (so we can reply) only if you both enter it and tick the "it's OK to reply to me" box. It is used solely to respond to you — never added to any mailing list, newsletter, or marketing.
- Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile): to block spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Your browser completes a verification check and Cloudflare processes the result; this is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. Turnstile is designed to be privacy-preserving and does not profile you across sites.
- Delivery (Resend): the message is delivered to us by email through the service Resend, which acts as our email processor. Your submission passes through Resend in order to reach our inbox.
- Storage & retention: we don't run a database — the submission is emailed to us and then exists only in our email inbox, where it's kept as long as needed to deal with your message.
- We never sell or share anything you submit, and we don't use it for any purpose other than responding to and acting on your message.
8. External links
The site links out to third-party sites such as GitHub and Discord. Once you follow a link away from DZE Tools, you are subject to that destination's own privacy policy — we have no control over and take no responsibility for those services.
9. Children's privacy
The site is intended for ArmA server administrators and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
10. Changes to this policy
If the site ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy? Use the contact form, reach out via the Discord server (DM Bomb99), or through GitHub.
